Privacy Policy

We will process your data in accordance with the new UK GDPR (United Kingdon General Data Protection Regulation) in conjunction with the newly amended Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018). The purpose of the privacy policy is to inform users about what information we collect when they visit www.openEHR.org (for further reference "the website") and its tools, how we use the information, whether the information is disclosed and the ways in which we protect users' privacy.

What information do we collect

When you use the website, we use technology to collect information indirectly, such as your internet address. This information is then kept in our internet access logs.

We collect information directly when you give it to us; for example, you may subscribe to our mailing lists, sign up to membership, register to openEHR wiki, or as an openEHR Clinical Knowledge Management user.

All personal information you provide us directly will be used solely for openEHR International administration purposes, such as communicating with you about your membership, openEHR services, activities, news and other information that we deem to be of interest to you.  It is completely up to you whether you provide your information, but not providing information may affect our ability to provide services to you.

The social media bookmarking sites that the website links to are third-party sites and openEHR International does not control the way these sites use your information. If you choose to access these sites using the links provided, the operators of these sites may collect information from you that may be used by them in accordance with their privacy policies, which may differ from ours.

Information gathered by openEHR International includes the user's IP address and how many times it is accessed. This information is the sole property of openEHR International and will not be shared with third parties. All openEHR tools store the number of times a user has visited the tool. We analyse information to see what is most effective about our website and tools to help us identify ways to improve it and to make it more effective.

How long we hold information

We will remove all personal information we hold relating to you, which you registered with us, within one year of you unsubscribing from our mailing lists or other services. We hold this information for one year following unsubscription, as we may need to use it for statistical analysis or if you choose to resubscribe. Be assured that if you unsubscribe you will not receive further information from us.

As during your subscription you may contribute and modify a content of the website (including mailing lists archives), these contributions and modifications will remain part of the website, unless they have been removed by website Review Comittee.

Disclosure of information

We do not share data with other organisations and we do not sell individuals' information. We publish only anonymous user statistics about openEHR Clinical Knowledge Manager users. It is possible for anybody to see users contribution on openEHR wiki. Mailing lists archives are accessible to the poeple registered on particular mailing list
